What it promises > is the correctness of the work: measurement that is real, figures that > carry a date and a method, and re-measurement so any change can be read > against a baseline rather than asserted. ## Definition of AI Visibility AI Visibility is how AI systems see and represent a business when people ask relevant questions about what to buy, who to choose, where to find a service or which businesses to consider. AI Visibility is a distinct category. It is not Answer Engine Optimisation, not AI Engine Optimisation, and not a new name for SEO. SEO concerns how pages rank when someone searches; AI Visibility concerns what an assistant includes in the answer it generates. Both can matter, and they are measured separately. ## Who TendorAI Is For Businesses generally — professional services, local businesses, B2B companies, technology companies, agencies, healthcare, financial services, e-commerce, and any other organisation people ask an AI assistant about. Solicitors are the vertical TendorAI researched and published on first. That is the scope of the published research, not the scope of the market. ## What TendorAI Measures - A defined question set, agreed with the business and then held constant - Repeated runs of the same questions, because assistants do not return the same answer every time - ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity - Whether the business was named, and how it was described when it was - Which sources were cited in those responses - Re-measurement of the same question set, compared against the baseline Sources are recorded as cited in a response. A citation is evidence that a source appeared; it is not evidence that the source caused the answer, and TendorAI does not report it as though it were. TendorAI's measurement instrument currently measures a single target — the client. The Benchmark is not required before the Audit, and neither is required before Growth; a Growth programme that starts without an Audit begins with baseline measurement and a focused diagnosis in month one. Buy the Audit within three months of Benchmark delivery and the £595 is credited against it; there is no credit against Growth. TendorAI is not currently VAT-registered, so no VAT is added. There is no online checkout — paid work is arranged on a call. ## Published Research TendorAI publishes its own measurement studies in full and ungated, with the prompt panel, the domain classification list and a deviations log recording every departure from the pre-registered plan. The August 2026 study (TAI-R-2026-002) put a fixed panel of 68 prompts across 17 UK cities to one assistant, Perplexity, with ten repeats per prompt, between 18 July and 24 August 2026. Each of 1,214 SRA-regulated solicitor firms was assessed against the four prompts for its own city — 40 eligible answers per firm, 48,560 firm-answer observations. 1,003 firms (83%) were never named once. A control group changed in no way moved from 3.59% to 4.19%, up 0.60 percentage points. That result describes SRA-regulated solicitors, in those cities, on that panel, on one assistant, in that window. It is not a statement about all businesses, all industries or all AI systems, and must not be quoted as one. TendorAI does not publish a total record count.
